Mario Andrion's star is rising in the Langhe. Since coming on board as winemaker at Gabriella Burlotto and Franco Bianco’s historic estate in 2000, Mario has steadily elevated his knowledge of the Castello's incredible collection of vineyards. With four exceptional sites at his command and a ton of talent , he has the resources to develop a mastery of the region that few can expect to achieve. All vines are farmed sustainably.
HOW
Hand-harvested around in the first week of October. Fermented in stainless steel for 30 days with periodic punching down of the cap. Aged for 30 months in Slavonian botti grandi followed by one month in stainless steel and then 40 months in the bottle before release.
