The Garofolis have been in Loreto since the earliest recorded time. They were innkeepers in a place where tourists came to see a house that was said to have been flown from the place where the Virgin Mary was born to their little town before the Crusades began, by angels, of course. They eventually started making wine for tourists and the project grew from there.
